◎简　　介　

根据Cult漫画家诸星大二郎先生原作改编的电影《壁男》，作为东京国际电影节视点部门的正式作品展出，也是早川涉导演长达八年呕心沥血之作。故事取材自漫画家诸星大二郎的异色短篇，在故事中，住在一起的有被称作壁男的在墙壁里的人，也有妖怪，还有不呼吸的生物。他们从墙壁中一声不响的看着人们的生活。在那存在中TV似乎有具有某种重要的关联……匿名的告发信“壁男在墙中”被送达到电视台，为此摄影记者（界雅人扮演）展开调查，打算与壁男互相通讯。


电视台播报员响子（小野真弓饰）收到一封关于壁男的投稿信。据说壁男是藏在墙壁里的奇特生物，一直窥探着屋里的情形。响子围绕这个主题进行了采访并做成了专题节目。节目播出后，壁男的传闻一下子传遍了全国。街头巷尾传说着壁男爱看电视、壁男从不说话、壁男能在墙壁间转移……

响子的男友摄影师仁科（雅人饰）突然对壁男产生了巨大的兴趣，拍了一大堆墙壁的照片。原来仁科对工作对响子都很认真，但如今却变得只关心壁男，这令响子十分不安。仁科越迷越深，甚至开始策划让壁男和人交流，与此同时，有关壁男的谣传步步升级、愈演愈烈。在疯狂的壁男热中，原因不明的怪异现象降临在响子周遭的人们身上……
